Recover your authenticator
Use a saved recovery code and your account email to replace a lost authenticator. If you already have a working authenticator, you can use it to finish an earlier recovery. Starting recovery signs out existing sessions and locks your writing space until recovery finishes. If you cannot complete recovery, contact support privately. Never send passwords, authentication codes or recovery codes.

Request access to your account information, a correction, or deletion. These requests cover your own account. For a request about a child or student, contact support privately for a separate review.

Deactivate your account
This signs you out everywhere and pauses access to your writing space. You can reactivate after a fresh sign-in.
Learners on family or class login pages you own also lose access while your account is deactivated. Their saved writing and supervision records remain. This does not transfer supervision or close their accounts.
Your subscription is not cancelled. To stop renewals, return to your account and use Cancel renewal in My plan before deactivating.
Saved stories are not deleted. This alpha’s current data-preservation authorization ends November 2, 2026 at 04:49 UTC. Deactivation does not extend that period.
Change contact email
Your sign-in name stays the same. Verify both your current and new email addresses. Completing the change signs out all sessions; your saved stories stay in your account.

Account security
Two-step verification is optional on Free. Paid accounts have seven days after payment to set it up. It is required sooner for payment-detail changes and further purchases. Cancellation and help remain available.
Use an authenticator app with a secure backup, and save your recovery codes below. If you lose your authenticator, use a saved recovery code and access to your verified email to recover your account. A password reset alone does not remove the authenticator. Read sign-in and recovery help (new tab). Contact the project owner if you cannot complete recovery.

Recovery codes
Keep access if you lose your authenticator. Recovery uses one saved code plus verification through your account email. Sign in with your authenticator within the last five minutes to create or view a new set.
Save these codes in your password manager or another secure place. This display expires within five minutes and clears when you leave Account security.
The downloaded file contains secret codes. Anyone with a code and access to your email could recover your account.
Contact email
Change the email used for account recovery and security notices. You’ll need access to both email addresses. Save or download any draft first.
Change password
Sign in again first if your last sign-in was more than five minutes ago. Starting a change ends all existing sessions, even if the new password is refused. Your authenticator stays enabled if you have one.
Active sign-ins
Review sessions that can access your account. Sessions expire after inactivity; device names and locations are not collected. Signing out a session stops its next protected request but cannot erase copies already viewed.
Download your account data
Get a JSON archive with your account details, plan, saved stories, Trash and retained revisions. Save any draft first. Keep this tab open; large histories can take several minutes (up to one hour).
Browser exports support up to 64 MB of story data and 10,000 revisions. If your archive exceeds those limits, no partial file is downloaded.
For larger archives, open Privacy requests. Create or open an access request, choose My stories and revisions, then prepare and download every numbered file. Account details are available separately there. This does not complete your privacy request.
Deactivate account
Pause account access and sign out every session. Your saved stories stay retained under the alpha’s retention policy. Deactivation does not cancel a subscription.

Request access, correction or deletion of your own account information, and check existing requests.
Download text includes the title and text currently in this editor, including unsaved changes. It does not save or change your online story.
Revision history
Your saved story changes only when you choose Save story. That creates a new revision and keeps earlier versions.
Troubleshooting & privacy
We keep a limited technical timeline of screens, controls, request outcomes and timings for up to seven days. We do not record your writing, typed values, passwords, codes or screen recordings. Delivery is best-effort and can be blocked by your browser or connection.
